These ideas have now been reviewed by a steering group of local people and council staff resulting in a short-list of 30 projects to be put to the public vote.<\/p>\n<p><em style=\"font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\"><strong>Area Manager Kevin Sayer<\/strong><\/span><\/em>\u00a0commented: \u201cI\u2019d encourage everyone in the local area to get involved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now it is your chance to decide how that \u00a3250,000 is spent in your local area. \u00a0To do so you must be over eight years of age and live in the Cowdenbeath Committee area.<\/p>\n<p>Projects to vote on range from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>cycle routes<\/li>\n<li>skate parks<\/li>\n<li>outdoor gym equipment \u00a0and<\/li>\n<li>community clean-ups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Voting takes place<\/strong> at open public events and <strong>online via\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oorbit.d21.me\">www.oorbit.d21.me<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The vote kicked off in <strong>Lumphinnans<\/strong> on Saturday 29th October where members of the Lumphinnans Social Group went door-to-door with the ballot papers. While <strong>Hill of Beath<\/strong> hosted an event in the Community Centre on Tuesday 1st November, <strong>Crossgates<\/strong> followed on Sunday 6th November at the royal British Legion Club.<\/p>\n<p>Other voting events were held in <strong>Cardenden, Lochgelly, \u00a0Benarty<\/strong> Centre.\u00a0 With<span style=\"font-style: inherit;\"><strong>\u00a0the \u00a0Kelty event being held on Saturday \u00a026th November,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\"><strong>Voting will close with <\/strong>an event at<em><strong> Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre <\/strong><\/em>on<strong> Sunday 27th November.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\"><strong>Wednesday 30th November is the big day<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0for the announcement of the successful projects.\u00a0 This takes place at the <strong>Cowdenbeath Area Committee<\/strong> at its meeting in <em><strong>Hill of Beath Community Centre<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Please do vote and you can do so<a href=\"http:\/\/www.oorbit.d21.me\" target=\"_blank\"><em> online<\/em><\/a> now!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\"><strong>Kevin added<\/strong><\/span>: \u201cAnybody aged eight and over living or working in the Cowdenbeath area is eligible to vote.
